Secret #2 Love is not enough .

As therapists, being warm and empathic usually comes naturally. However, we may not feel as comfortable setting limits, or know how to do it. This issue is particularly important with forensic patients, where patients' modes can cross our boundaries or interfere with therapy. In these instances, learning how to set limits effectively is crucial.

Secret #3 Two people in a room

What is it like to sit in a therapy room with someone who keeps you at an extreme distance? Someone where you know that lurking underneath, are raw emotions of pain and anger, and the potential for violence.
